For me these past few weeks have been all about transformation and the gift of all the beautiful mirrors in my life! I am realizing that each of us are mirrors for each other in our lives and it is up to us to be still long enough to see the reflection of one!

One of my favorite quotes is:

"In order to respond, one should become like a mirror. A mirror just reflects; it is never touched or tainted by the images. Only a compassionate heart can respond." ~ Amma

Until recently, I don't think that I truly understood that quote but recently something has really shifted and I see the beauty of all the people that I am graced with in my life. I see how when I am triggered, defensive, superior, inferior, etc. that it is a sure sign that I must look deep within to see what is still resonating within me that needs to be healed.

I find on days when I am very solid in my own soul alignment that there is Only One and all is peace and calm! I pray for those days to grow more frequent! :-)

I wrote this a couple of years ago and just recently found it again while looking through some old files! I would like to share it with you!

During the course of my life I have had the opportunity to interact with people who seemed to make it their life purpose to stand in my way. No matter what I tried to do I could not convince them of my value, worth and skills. Whether I worked harder at my job, tried harder in relationships, compromised more or just gave in, they were there, blocking me. I know now that I had two choices with these people, to keep pushing (which is what I did) or to allow a transformation in me to occur. Because transformation was their gift to me.

Whether at work or in our personal lives we have all had contact with people who would not value, honor or respect us. It didn't matter what we did, they could or would not 'get' us. Many of us, as I did, think that they present us with a challenge to work harder to prove ourselves but they are really there to help us make other choices. Perhaps it's to find another job, career path, relationship or place to live. Maybe they are there to remind us that we have skills and gifts that we have yet to acknowledge. But one thing they are not there for is to change their opinion.

Transformational people teach us lessons about change that needs to occur in our life by forcing it upon us, sometimes gently, sometimes with a great deal of pressure. The more resistant we are to change, the more we fear it and the more we are blessed with powerful people who refuse to allow us to continue on our chosen path. It can be frustrating as long as we ask the question 'what is wrong with them or with me.' The real question in these situations is 'what do I need to do differently.'

When we allow ourselves to live through transformation we welcome change knowing that it is by being open to unlimited opportunities that they come to us. Life is supposed to flow effortlessly so if something is standing in our way it is probably not there to challenge our value or worth. Instead, it is asking us to accept transformation. If we let go and allow the change to occur, without fear, the transformational people have done their job and can move on. And so can we.

We are all unique! We are each here to offer our skills, gifts and strengths to the world. Think of each experience you have had in your life and how each has had a part in creating your uniqueness. I intuitively look at energy systems and listen to clients talk about what they want to do or activities they love. There is a dynamic energy behind what we love to do and what our gifts and strengths are. It is amazing and exciting! Your gifts may still need to be discovered or you may be hiding them and have not felt ready to share them. The more you release and clear energies or aspects of your personality, the more you uncover your authentic self. When you do this, you know what your gifts are and you realize your value and you are sharing them easily. Each step along the way brings you closer to this authentic state.

Uncovering your authentic self and your gifts can be facilitated by connecting with Spirit. Your higher self knows what you are here for. You can connect with this part of you to help bring out your gifts and strengths. Taking time to be quiet, to meditate and be peaceful, can really help you in developing your strengths and sharing them with the world. Developing a practice and setting aside time to be quiet each day will help you in sharing your gifts with others. Do not doubt your uniqueness or your gifts! The path has some twists and turns but continues to lead you to your Truth and Purpose and bliss. This is my wish for all of us!
